MACHINE UPTIME Services

The people of TVC have experience in monitoring & protection systems for rotating and reciprocating equipment dating back to the R & D group with Cooper Bessemer. 

Since, projects included gas pipelines with 5 gas turbines as mechanical drives in Argentina, desalinization plants in Saudi Arabia with 15,000 HP synchronous motor pump sets, and more recently, the complete outfitting of vibration monitoring equipment and software for the entire grass roots refinery project in Thailand.  We are strong in project work but still welcome all the smaller jobs we can get.  What counts is a customer's complete satisfaction of products & services for all rotating & reciprocating equipment in their plant.

TVC has strengths in project work: coordination of service contracts, FATs, SATs, installations, commissioning, operator training & in projects for product development (four patents).

We know balancing, alignment, and all the disciplines of PdM including IR thermography (one of the patents is based on IR technology), motor winding analysis, and of course, vibration.  But that is a far step from being a leader in the disciplines.

This service is provided on a regular timed basis or as needed.  We supply the following to make this an efficient and effective process:

• Perform a plant survey

• Configure a database specific to a customers needs

• Supply & install permanent vibration sensors on your machines where appropriate

• Install permanent "targets" on machines for manual data collection by machine operators

• Use  triaxial accelerometers for the most efficient method to collect data and save you money.

• Train operators in making the route & taking data:  this takes surprisingly little time out of their schedule

• Supply the data collectors

• Report regularly when all is Ok

• Immediately bring excursions or apparent events to customer's attention and suggest a course of action

• Travel to site if on site assistance is needed
